Auxiliary Deflector Control (Deck 6)

Auxiliary deflector control occupies a compact room on the mid-deck starboard side, interfacing with the forward-mounted auxiliary deflector dish in the saucer section. A single curved console dominates the room, its surface divided into several distinct control zones for deflector field geometry, power allocation, and sensor overlay, each zone lit by its own soft color-coded backlighting.
Behind the console, a large wall-mounted display shows a schematic cutaway of the deflector dish and its associated systems, updating in real time as adjustments are made at the console below.
The walls are a plain grey, unbroken by viewports, and a narrow secondary console along the side wall handles diagnostic and calibration functions separate from the primary control station.
The floor is a hard composite, and the lighting is dim except for the glow from the console and wall display, giving the room a focused, control-room quality distinct from the brighter, more uniform lighting used in the labs nearby. The room carries a steady, low electronic hum, occasionally rising in pitch during active deflector adjustments.
